Locco Terms of Use
Last updated May 23, 2026
These terms apply to the current Locco app, including visit logging, photo import, no-photo check-ins, Foodprint, Memories, Challenges, Friends, notifications, profiles, badges, and sharing.
Who operates Locco
Locco is operated by the Locco app operator. If a company or LLC later becomes the operator, these terms will be updated to identify that entity.
Questions, account issues, legal notices, privacy requests, or abuse reports can be sent to [email protected].
Using Locco
Locco helps you save food and place visits, build a personal Foodprint, remember where you have been, complete Challenges, and discover spots through your own activity and people you follow.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Locco. You are responsible for your account, your device permissions, your content, and how you use location, photos, sharing, tagging, follows, and public profile features.
You agree to use Locco lawfully, respectfully, and in a way that does not interfere with the app, other users, or third-party services.
Locco may be changed, limited, paused, or discontinued as the product evolves, especially while it is still being tested and improved.
Your content
You keep ownership of photos, captions, profile text, and other content you create.
By creating or uploading content, you give Locco permission to host, process, crop, rotate, resize, cache, display, analyze for app features, generate share images from, and share that content as needed to operate the app and respect your selected visibility settings.
Only upload photos, names, profile details, and other content that you have the right to use and share. Do not upload private information about other people without permission.
You are responsible for your content and for having any rights, consent, or permission needed for photos, names, tags, captions, profile details, and other materials you submit.
Locco may remove or restrict content that appears to infringe rights, violate these terms, create safety risk, or expose private information.
Photos, places, and location
Locco can use camera photos, library photos, bulk photo import, photo metadata, your current location, selected spots, Google Places results, and map or region data to create visits, check-ins, Memories, Foodprint maps, nearby views, Challenges, and badges.
Place names, addresses, categories, distances, region boundaries, rankings, maps, Google Places matches, Challenge progress, and Foodprint counts may be incomplete, delayed, approximate, or wrong.
You should not rely on Locco for restaurant availability, safety, prices, allergens, dietary needs, opening hours, travel decisions, or emergency information.
Social features and sharing
Locco includes profiles, follows, friend feeds, likes, bookmarks, tagged visits, blocks, reports, notifications, badges, Challenges, invite links, profile links, and generated share images.
Respect other people's privacy. Do not tag people deceptively, share someone else's private information, impersonate others, or use Locco to harass or monitor people.
If you share content outside Locco through Instagram, LINE, Messages, the system share sheet, or another destination, that external service is responsible for what happens after you share.
Copyright and rights complaints
If you believe content in Locco infringes your copyright, publicity rights, privacy rights, trademark rights, or other rights, contact [email protected] with enough detail to identify the content and explain the issue.
Locco may remove or restrict content while reviewing a rights complaint and may preserve related records where needed for safety, legal compliance, or dispute handling.
Community rules
- Do not post illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, misleading, spammy, or privacy-invasive content.
- Do not upload content that infringes someone else's rights or contains malware, scraping tools, or automated abuse.
- Do not attack the app, bypass security, scrape the service, misuse invite links, manipulate rankings or Challenge progress, or interfere with other users.
- Do not use Locco for stalking, surveillance, doxxing, or unwanted contact.
Moderation and account actions
Locco may remove content, hide visits, limit features, filter feeds, preserve reports, or suspend accounts if needed for safety, abuse prevention, debugging, legal compliance, or platform requirements.
Blocks and reports are app safety tools. Locco may use them to reduce contact, filter feeds, investigate issues, and protect users.
Locco is not obligated to monitor all content, but it may review content or activity when reported, detected, or needed to operate the service.
Third-party services and availability
Locco depends on services such as Supabase, Cloudflare R2 or compatible storage, Google Places, Apple, Google, Expo, and device operating system features. Their outages, limits, permission choices, or policy changes may affect the app.
Locco may change as the product evolves. Features may be updated, paused, removed, rate-limited, or reset, especially while the app is still being tested and improved.
Locco is provided as-is, without guarantees that it will always be available, error-free, accurate, or compatible with every device or service.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Locco is provided without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, security, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Locco and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, lost goodwill, service interruptions, user content, third-party services, or location/place inaccuracies.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including non-waivable consumer rights.
Indemnity
If your content or misuse of Locco causes a claim, dispute, cost, or liability, you agree to help defend and hold Locco and its operator harmless to the extent allowed by law.
Ending use
You can stop using Locco at any time. You can delete individual visits or permanently delete your account in Settings.
Account deletion is intended to remove your profile, visits, check-ins, photos, and social activity from Locco. Some backups, logs, moderation records, or legal records may remain for a limited period where needed for safety, debugging, legal compliance, or service operation.
Changes and contact
Locco may update these terms as the app changes. Material changes should be reflected in the app or on the terms page.
